CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER - PERMANENT – SURREY

Our Client, an offshore oil and gas contractor, is currently looking for an experienced Construction Engineer who is able to manage construction works for a Cryogenic tank project.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Proven experience in construction management
• Participated in major infrastructure or industrial projects
• Technical background: piling, civil works and / or mechanical works (Steel structure, piping, equipment installation, E&I)
• Ideally have previous experience in Cryogenic Tanks (not mandatory)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety Management: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols and practices throughout the project to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that the works meet the required quality standards and specifications Design Coordination: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that the works meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements and best methods for construction are implemented..
• Liaise with HR and administration to ensure correct set-up and management of IR relation of our subcontractors
• Timeline Management: Monitor project progress, track milestones, and address any delays or deviations from the schedule to ensure timely project completion.
• Budget Management: support construction manager for budget for subcontracted works in its remit,  establish the construction budget, subcontract management and progress control and reporting
