PROJECT MANAGER – SAUDI ARABIA – DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT

 

Our Client, a primary and well recognized EPC Company, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team working in Saudi Arabia on a rotational basis on a pipeline and gas compressor station construction project  

 

EXPERIENCE

  • MsC Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process engineering
  • 15 + years’ experience in engineering management within petrochemical or Oil&Gas  industry for international Clients.
  • 5+ years’ experience working on 56” pipeline projects.
  • Strong pipeline project experience.

  • Strong understanding and command of engineering contents

  • Excellent understanding of processes and interfaces between engineering and procurement, construction, commissioning, handing over and project close out.
  • Management of technical staff with more than 10 people.
  • Management of international engineering services consultants
  • Management of multiple internal and external stakeholders interfaces.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Experience in risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and contribute to present key design meetings such as: design kick off meeting, design review meetings, design monthly progress meetings.
  • Conduct regular design weekly meeting with external engineering consultant
  • Liaise with Client and represent Contractor for all engineering related technical matters
  • Participate, contribute, and provide input during interdisciplinary meetings such as: risk management meetings, constructability meetings, interface management meeting.
  • Direct a team of internal resources to monitor and control content and production time of engineering deliverables outsourced to an external engineering consultant, throughout detail design development.
  • Prepare with external engineering consultant the list of expected deliverables, plan their delivery dates, monitor engineering progress, and take corrective actions whenever needed.
  • Guarantee that detail design is developed at an appropriate level and deliverables are grouped and organized in such a way to serve Contractor processes with regards to procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with procurement team and make sure that material requisitions and technical reviews of vendors offers are planned and processed as per procurement plan and according to procurement schedule.
  • Convey to the external engineering consultants the technical outcomes of procurement activities and instruct the external engineering consultant to update detail design accordingly.
  • Coordinate interface with external engineering consultant and make sure that engineering deliverables content is consistent with scope of work and embeds constructability and procurement requirements.
  • Provide planning and cost control department with quantities associated with detail design development.
  • Assist the Site Technical Office Manger team who will be dedicated to management of field technical office and ensure smooth transition between design office activities and site office activities.
  • Make sure that all site technical queries are conveyed to proper recipient and a coordinated response is given to site technical office
  • Ensure that the preliminary design, client standards, contractor procedures, project specific procedures are available to the engineering services consultant and to internal team and any update to the basis of engineering development are provided accordingly to relevant teams.
  • Ensure that HSE and QA/QC procedures are available and followed by engineering services consultant and by internal team.
  • Ensure that engineering approval procedures and processes are followed by the engineering services consultants and by the internal team.
  • Ensure setting up of an appropriate document management system for receival, transmission and archiving of engineering deliverables.
  • Contribute to verification of correctness of engineering consultancy company work progress to allow for relevant invoicing.
  • Make sure that change orders, if any, are properly identified and processed.
  • Remove design development road blocks.
  • Ensure compliance that communication procedures within the engineering team and towards stakeholder with regards to engineering outcomes.

 

Rate:               Please quote what Net monthly rate in US$ you would be looking for

Duration:         12 months renewable contract – Project due to last 4 years

Rotation:           90 days on / 21 days off.. Working 8 hours per day, 6 days per week

 

Start:                 ASAP
