MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN - CONTRACT – SWINDON, WILTSHIRE

Our Client is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman/Design Engineer for an initial 5 month contract role that has an immediate start.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Over 5 years’ experience within design engineering, having completed projects of generators and distribution equipment
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
• Familiarity with MOD standards and Defence Standards relevant to mechanical and power systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for military grade equipment
• Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to obtain entry level security checks (BPSS)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce drawings for parts of equipment including generators and distribution equipment
• Lead and contribute to the mechanical design of systems and supporting structures
• Provide engineering support through prototype build, testing, and qualification phases, resolving design issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct design reviews and configuration management activities in collaboration with Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering teams

DURATION:                  5 months initially

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on 3 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Swindon, Wiltshire. and two days remote working.

RATE:                          £35.00 per hourLtd co rate

                                   If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
