ACCOUNTANCY CLERK – CONTRACT – SURREY

 

Our Client, a Major contractor are looking for an Accountancy Clerk to join their team based in Surrey. This will be working on a contract basis.

 

This is a great opportunity with one of the largest turnkey E & C Companies within the Oil and Gas industry. Our Client is also a leader in the supply of engineering, procurement and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore projects.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable function;
  • Experience with Excel preferably intermediate level or higher;
  • Experience in preparing reconciliations;
  • Proficient in data entry and management;
  • SAP – desirable but not essential.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise a busy work load and meet strict deadlines;
  • A strong communicator with the ability to present to a wide and diverse audience;
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Experience working in a big company corporate environment is preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will report to the Asset and Intercompany Manager and will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of intercompany accounts payable transactions.

  • Review and verify invoices accuracy of invoices;
  • Input all invoices into SAP system;
  • Maintain Intercompany query log with all invoices which cannot be posted in SAP;
  • Co-ordination with SAP team for issuance of all WO / PO requests;
  • Liaise internally / externally to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues;
  • Intercompany reconciliations on a quarterly basis;
  • Assist with month end closure;
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

 

RATE:             £12-13 per hour PAYE or £16.50 Ltd company basis.

 

DURATION:     Ongoing (Long term)

 

BENEFITS:     Very Close to the Station and some parking available.
