Our Client, a market leading provider of UK international umbrella payroll solutions, is seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their team at their offices in Bedfordshire.



    Qualified or part-qualified (AAT).

    Basic knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping is desirable.

    Practice experience is preferable, but not essential.


The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:

    Competent using all Microsoft Office applications.

    Able to work well under pressure both alone and in a team environment.

    Able to communicate effectively and with a high standard of professionalism and integrity with all required individuals and organisations including directors, managers, colleagues, clients, prospective clients, HM Revenue & Customs, Companies House and suppliers.

    Able to manage own work and prioritise as necessary.

    Experience using IRIS Software (Accounts Production, Business Tax and Personnel Tax) and Sage Line 50 would be advantageous, however full training would be provided in due course.



The principle objectives and key responsibilities of the role can be summarised as follows:

    To assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and to ensure they are filed on-time.

    To assist with the monthly and year-end PAYE procedure and to liaise with the accounts assistant as necessary.

    To assist and liaise with another accounts administrator ensuring bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.

    To liaise with all clients in an efficient and professional manner at all times, proactively informing clients of key deadlines and liabilities when they fall due.

    To build and maintain good relationships with all clients.


HOURS: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £16,500 - £20,000 PA, depending on suitability. 

Benefits package includes: company bonus / incentives scheme; private medical insurance, and death in service.

Holiday entitlement: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays. Additional 1 day per full calendar year of service up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

All employees have access to a free car park on site.
