Our Client, a renowned nationwide property consultancy who deliver a range of property services within the private and public sectors, are looking for an Acoustics Engineer to join their team based at their offices in Greater Manchester.



The following qualifications and experience are all essential:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an acoustics or related science or engineering discipline or working towards or can demonstrate significant relevant experience



·         Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD

·         Experience in a similar or related role


·         Familiar with relevant Construction, Health and Safety Legislation and Risks and Hazards associated with Asbestos

·         Professional membership of Institute of Acoustics and be working towards, or prepared to work towards Chartered status – Desirable but not essential



The Acoustics Engineer will be responsible for providing sound and vibration consultancy services on a range of projects within the built environment.


·         Responsible for monitoring and controlling potential noise interference in design projects including but not limited to residential, commercial and education.


·         As part of a multi-disciplinary team, conduct noise and vibration measurements surveys, informing the design of new buildings.


·         Manage the assessment of environmental acoustics where required.


·         Act as professional technical lead, advising architects and building services, then documenting acoustical data.


·         Calculate and assess architectural acoustics, providing detailed and accurate reports, which include recommendations.


·         Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.

·         Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

·         This post may on occasion require travel to other offices and sites as required.


·         Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services, which embrace quality standards.


·         Fee earning at 80% and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.


·         Demonstrate personal commitment to the company strategy.


SALARY:         £24,000 to £36,500 depending on experience. Please state what salary range you would be looking for when applying.
