ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST – PERMANENT – NORFOLK

 

Our Client, a renowned nationwide property consultancy who deliver a range of property services within the private and public sectors within the UK, require an Architectural Technologist based in Norfolk.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status.
  •  

     

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in an Architectural Technology related.
  •  

     

  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
  •  

     

  • Experience in a similar or related role.
  •  

     

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  •  

     

  • Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
  •  

     

  • Knowledge of Revit / BIM is desirable.
  •  

     

    JOB SCOPE:

    The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for managing on projects through all design stages from conception to completion. Responsibilities include:

     

  • Lead on projects including producing drawings securing planning permission and undertaking contract administration and reporting to clients.
  •  

     

  • Assist colleagues through the preparation of drawings, schedules, specifications on projects and liaise with clients to assess their needs.
  •  

     

  • Provide professional advice in line with legal requirements.
  •  

     

  • Monitoring progress on projects and inspect completed building works.
  •  

     

  • Undertake surveys and prepare records of existing buildings and sites.
  •  

     

  • Prepare clear and accurate contract documentation.
  •  

     

  • Carry out tasks completely and professionally within determined timescales, financial budgets and fee / costs targets.
  •  

     

  • Prepare and submit applications for statutory approvals.
  •  

     

  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
  •  

     

  • Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  •  

     

  • This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
  •  

     

  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
  •  

     

  • Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
  •  

     

  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.
  •  

     

    SALARY: £24,238 to £37,000
