BUSINESS ETHICS LEAD – DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT – KAZAKHSTAN
Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Business Ethics Lead for their project in Kazakhstan.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

University degree, preferably in law, finance, accounting
-
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in Audit and/or Finance
-
Medium level of knowledge applicable to providing a broad range of services, such as SAP and Excel ;
-
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, ethics & compliance principles, concepts, procedures and terminology for review, examination, and processing of a range of documents;
-
Knowledge of various research sources, including electronic ones, and ability to conduct research and analyse information on a wide range of ethics & compliance issues;
-
Ability to interpret and apply ethics & compliance instruments, develop and present results, recommendations, and opinions clearly and concisely;
-
Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies.

JOB PURPOSE:
Support rendered by the Ethics & Compliance Department in the Legal Directorate
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In consultationwith E&C Investigations Coordinator, follow up on concerns and allegations raised to E&C that are assigned to them;

Conduct investigations in the most appropriate and effective way and in line with the CLIENT Investigations Principles;
-
Conduct subject and witness interviews;
-
Manage the interest of whistle-blowers, who wish to remain anonymous, and their information with the utmost confidentiality;
-
Individually collect, preserve and analyse evidence both soft and hard copy;
-
Draft clear and concise investigation reports, subject to peer and supervisor review;
-
Present documented evidence in a structured way to enable management to make a founded decision on;
-
Identify control weaknesses and interact with relevant stakeholders to implement mitigating measures;
-
Interact effectively with third party forensic consultants, accounting firms and forensic IT contractors.

Support the Ethics & Compliance Department in CLIENT’s Legal Directorate on ethics & compliance matters;
-
Advise staff on ethics & compliance matters both proactively and reactively;
-
Support the establishment and maintenance of CLIENT’s compliance programme, based on its General Business Principles, Code of Conduct and ABC Manual;
-
Receive, follow up, track and report any issues or violations reported in CLIENT and oversee related investigations;
-
Perform such other duties and tasks as may be assigned by a Managing Counsel or the Legal Director;

Make independent decisions relating to the area of responsibility;
-
Participate in strategic planning and decision making within the area of responsibility;

Contribute new ideas and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes;
-
Identify and mitigate risks which impact the outcomes of his or her own work and that of the Department;
-
Some knowledge of Company legal requirements, policies, practices and procedures.
Rate: US$ Negotiable per worked day net of Kazakh tax
Duration: 1 year renewable with possible extensions
Rotation: Single status residential basis (working 5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
Benefits: Client pays medical insurance/medical evacuation, Accommodation (single status standard). 32 work days of annual leave (unpaid) and 2 paid home leave return flights per residential assignment year.
