ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER (DESIGN BACKGROUND) – PERMANENT/DIRECT HIRE – SAUDI ARABIA

 

Our Client is seeking an Electrical Department Manager with a Design background to work on a project based in Saudi Arabia.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 20 years’ in Oil & Gas industry, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery and offshore.

Proven extensive experience in the design of Substations, Transmission and Distribution Systems in the Oil & Gas and, hydrocarbon industries. 

Experience in Conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of medium to large scale projects required.

Direct experience of engineering delivery

 

Key Skills & Technical Competencies:

Expert knowledge & understanding of Design practices, Construction Practices and Procedures.

Wide knowledge of codes and industry standards IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, ANSI/NEMA etc.

Wide knowledge in Electrical Power Systems, Protection Philosophy & Protection Device Coordination.

Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Standards and procedures will be an added advantage.

 

JOB SCOPE:

Role Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 40 to 60 electrical engineers and designers

Review and approve discipline work plans

Review and approve electrical systems studies (e.g. ETAP)

Review and approve competitive work-hour estimates with innovative execution plan for Electrical discipline.

Develop and maintain typical electrical engineering deliverables for use across all projects 

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team.

Responsible for design integrity of electrical scope, performance of assigned staff, on-schedule delivery of the work within budget

Lead technical presentations to Clients and their representatives as required

Serve as technical resource on all matters relating to electrical engineering

 

Key Interactions:

With other disciplines to ensure correct interfaces particularly Instrumentation Vendors (Technical)

Interact with the project Management and Client representatives

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Must be committed to working in Saudi Arabia as a local hire worker and as such the role is not on a rotational basis but can be married status in terms of some of the assistance offered.

 

The role will attract a locally paid monthly salary of circa $14K per month (Local tax free) which is inclusive of local housing & transport the detail of and further package information are below:

 

Gross Salary:  Employee will get lump sum tax free salary divided into, basic + Housing + Transportation.  No Schooling allowance

Air Ticket:   Two round trip economy ticket every year to your point of origin as per company policy on Single status.  One round trip economy ticket every year If on family status, air ticket is extended to spouse & two children under the age of 18, who are residing with the employee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on dependent visa

Medical Insurance:  Medical insurance card will be provided as per company policy

Annual leave:  30 calendar days per year

Working Hours:  48 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday

Contract Period:  One Year, auto renewable
