ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER – PART TIME - CONTRACT – SURREY

 

Our client is seeking an Environmental Engineer for an Aramco project. This is an initial part-time, 6-month contract role with an immediate start.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BEng or BSc) in Environmental Engineering or a related field such as Chemical Engineering.
  • Membership in a relevant engineering, science, or environmental institute.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements
  • Experience working on oil and gas design projects. Experiences in Wastewater Treatment and Energy transition projects (such as CCSU) and are desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to create reports, analyse data, and present information effectively. Experience with GIS and air dispersion modelling software is desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 6-10 years.
  • Aramco experience highly desirable.

 

JOB SCOPE:
Required to support the Environmental & Social Impact Assessment and other environmental design and engineering work for an onshore energy security / traditional energies facility expansion.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • As part of a project team, perform all conventional aspects of Environmental scope area. 
  • This may include:
  • Developing environmental deliverables such as Environmental Philosophies, Environmental Impact Identification (ENVID) Reports, Environmental Management Plans, Emissions Inventories, Terms of Reference (ToRs) for workshops and Scopes of Work (SoW) for studies.
  • Supporting studies focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring alignment with net-zero commitments.
  • Providing expert guidance on environmental compliance, including Best Available Techniques (BAT), and ensuring regulatory adherence throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordination and liaison with third-party contractors undertaking environmental studies, such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and site baseline surveys.
  • Environmental representation in ENVID and BAT reviews.
  • Managing environmental aspects of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve environmental objectives.

 

DURATION:                  6 months initially

 

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on 3 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Leatherhead.

 

RATE:                          £52.00 – 55.00 per hourLtd co rate

 

                                   If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
