GRADUATE HYDROGEN PROCESS ENGINEER – PERMANENT - INDIA
Our Client, an international provider of technical services, is seeking a Graduate Hydrogen Process Engineer to join their Clean Energy Group on a permanent basis based in India.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

The candidate will have a MSc. Or BSc. degree in chemical engineering (being a chartered engineer would be a plus). Ideally, candidates will have a second degree in Process Engineering, specific experience as a process engineer in hydrogen production, distribution and use.

Specific interest and understanding of clean energy and the role of hydrogen in the energy transition.

Numerically capable and proficient simulation skills.
-
Knowledge of main process modelling software (e.g. Aspen HYSIS).
-
Good analytical skills.
-
Good IT skills. Excellent knowledge of MS office and in particular MS excel.
-
Willingness to occasionally travel to international locations as part of a project.
Desired Skills
-
Able to use software for drafting PFDs and P&IDs (autocad, Smartplant P&ID).

Ability to prepare professional graphics for MES presentations.
-
Technical and commercial knowledge of hydrogen plants and renewable energy installations (offshore and onshore wind farms, solar PV plants and battery storage) .
-
Fluency in a second language both in written and oral communications .
-
Specific courses / academic assignments on renewable projects or energy transition projects.
-
Data management skills.
Experience

Specific university assignments or courses on hydrogen (better if produced through electrolysis)_ and/or renewable energy installations.

JOB SCOPE:
Our Client is seeking for a chemical engineering graduate to help in growing their capabilities on clean energy in the following fields:
-
Design of hydrogen plants (green and blue)
-
Design of hydrogen compression, storage and systems at users’ locations
-
Design od CCUS systems
-
Design of power-to-X plants
-
Design of solar PV facilities
-
Design of wind farms
The activities associated with the role are as follows:
-
Works under the supervision the Clean Energy Head Consultant and with other people in senior leadership and management position within the company
-
Help in identifying knowledge gaps and defining future actions
-
Develop specific presentations for clients on hydrogen compression, transport and industrial uses
-
Prepare graphical images and schematics for potential applications
-
Review relevant scientific literature in the field and identify possibility for expanding engineering consultancy capabilities
-
Identify list of equipment which are required by each technology – from in house information plus literature review
-
Review what information is available on the web for each supplier and identify gaps
-
Prepare request to the suppliers to collect missing data
-
Review supplier responses and ask further questions if needed
-
Organise available data in a structured manner
-
Identify and assess emerging technology and knowledge gaps for future development
-
Review and comment thesis/PhD work performed by universities collaborating with the Client with the intent of maximise their practical applicability
-
Review sources of solar and wind data for onshore and offshore location and write guidelines on how to retrieve the data for use
-
Review emergent technologies such as floating wind turbines and floating solar PV
-
Prepare methodologies for designing a wind turbine plant
-
Review methodologies for designing a solar PV plant
-
Help the Clean Energy Head Consultant to establish relationship with new/ perspective clients
-
Contribute to the preparation of qualification documents and bids
-
Develop basic process design documents for green and blue hydrogen plants
-
Work with senior project engineers to capture their expertise
-
Carry out process engineering activities and prepare specific deliverables on Client projects (PFDs, H&M balances, optimisation studies, etc.)

Develop engineering procedures and work methods for clean energy
-
Develop towards a long-term role as main process specialist within the Client
Salary: Negotiable
