LEAD LEGAL & CONTRACTS ADVISOR – PERMANENT – SURREY

 

 

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Lead Legal & Contracts Advisor to join their team based in Surrey.

 

This is a great opportunity with one of the largest turnkey engineering & construction Companies within the Oil and Gas industry. Our Client is also a leader in the supply of engineering, procurement and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore projects.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Legal Qualification is required.
  • Must have Legal and Contact Management experience on business acquisition on tender activities, contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in Oil and Gas industry desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, listening and influencing and a strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work under time pressure to meeting deadlines.
  • Should have leadership skills and be a team player.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role encompasses deployment of Contract Management activities during pre-qualification, qualification, tender and commercial phase and support to projects in execution. The Candidate will:

  • Provide Legal and contract management support to business acquisition on tender activities, contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Ensure contracts are entered into with acceptable risks.
  • Review and qualify contracts and legal documents.
  • Contribute Legal and contract management support to project management teams on change order request and claim preparation, management, negotiation and resolution, dispute settlement and other legal issues linked to project execution.
  • Prepare contract induction and review at the beginning of projects.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as pre-contractual arrangements, contracts, agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, consortium and joint venture agreements, and the like.
  • Provide Legal advice on specific issues inherent to the Company and/or Corporate activities.
  • Assist the Company Secretary as may be required on specific occasions.

 

SALARY:                      Negotiable. Please quote what salary you would be looking for when applying.
