LOGISTICS AND EXPEDITING SPECIALIST – CONTRACT– SURREY

 

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Logistics and Expediting Specialist to work in their Surrey offices.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·         Extensive experience in freight forwarding, logistics / customs processes or coordinating logistics.

·         Wide ranging expertise in sea freight, road transport and booking.

·         Solid knowledge of common international standards.

·         Acknowledged communication and interpersonal abilities.

·         Demonstrable practical capabilities with SAP.

·         Capability to travel on short-term assignment outside UK.

 

JOB SCOPE:

Our Client is seeking an accomplished expediting professional to take up a contract role focused primarily on a large offshore renewables project.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Coordinating Shipping and Customs activities for Operations Management and Expediting Departments.

·         Organising Suppliers (Forwarders and/or Customs agents) regarding the management and transportation of goods.

·         Management and preparation of documentation required for the execution of Shipping and Customs activities, such as import, export and transit of materials in accordance with Customs, port requirements and internal company procedures.

·         Ensuring that necessary studies for OOG (out of gauge), such as MOS, drawings and transport procedures are available and distributed.

·         Providing feedback information, using company software tools, on Supplier performance (forwarders and/or customs agents).

·         Maintaining a retrievable archive of Shipping and Customs documents.

·         Supporting the purchasing department in managing Shipping and Customs issues (choice of the INCOTERMS, etc.) and for the issuance of Transport Service Contract Documents & FA.

·         Preparing project specific procedures for Shipping, Customs and packaging as well as technical enquiry packages for Shipping and Customs services.
 

 

RATE:                       Negotiable – please quote what limited company rate you would be looking for. 

 

BENEFITS:               Very Close to the Station.
