Our Client, a family run, independent landlord and lettings company based in South Manchester are looking for an Office Manager (Property Experient to join their team.

  • Previous experience in the student lettings field.

  • Well organised person with a professional approach with a good customer service skills background.
  • An attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate empathy to both tenants and landlords
  • IT literate – computer and phones.
  • Must possess a clean UK driving license and own car and be prepared to travel.
  • Able to deal with client/tenant disputes in a professional manner
  • Be proactive in bringing in new business
  • Be able to work in a team – adapt and willing to learn
  • Able to work to personal and office targets – go that extra mile to make a difference



  • Responsible for the day-to-day Marketing i.e. keeping adverts current and updated (and taking pictures if necessary for advertising).
  • Check properties have all the correct certifications for gas, electric and safety documentation and ensuring compliance of all legislation.
  • Ensure all payments are correctly taken and recorded.
  • Update window displays.
  • Manage staff.
  • Managing Lead Enquiries (phoning applicants, booking in viewings etc.).
  • Conducting viewings.
  • Processing tenant applications (credit check for professionals etc.).
  • Completing all the relevant paperwork such as contracts, tenant references, deposits including Guarantor Details.
  • Checking in/Moving in of tenant(s).
  • In going and outgoing inventories.
  • Keeping a track of all the maintenance and looking after it.
  • Obtaining quotations and liaising and managing contractors and reporting back to the Landlords.
  • Ensuring the utilities, council tax, broadband and TV licensing are dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Be able to work one Saturday a month.


Hours:             Our hours are Mon - Fri 10am,-6.30pm and Sat 11am - 4pm.Due to the seasonal timings for most of our tenant groups (students) we are very busy between October - Feb each year. Therefore working during these Saturdays will be highly likely.During the summer periods it will be less but one or two Saturdays a month will be required.


  • £20k a year basic (to be reviewed after 6 months).
  • 6 month probationary period after which a permanent contract will be offered depending upon performance.
  • This role is not commission based.
