PARALEGAL – PERMANENT – SURREY

 

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Paralegal to work in their Surrey offices providing general support to the Contract Management Department. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have worked as a Paralegal previously, ideally but not essentially within the Oil and Gas industry and/or corporate organisations.
  • Should have experience of different types of contracts in business possibly including engineering, construction, transportation and installation contractors and associated documents ie Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Disclosure and Restrictive Use Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, Heads of Agreement and Nominated Subcontractors Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal with some of the job scope below.

 

JOB SCOPE:

The role involves general support to the Contract Management Department during pre-qualification, qualification, tender and commercial phase mainly with occasional support to projects in execution.

  • Assist with the revision and qualification or draft of different types of Contracts, including but not limited to: Engineering, Construction, Transportation and Installation Contracts, and associated Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Disclosure and Restrictive Use Agreement; Memorandum of Understandings; Heads of Agreement and Nominated Subcontractors Agreements and Joint Venture Agreements;
  • Assist the CM Team in the elaboration of Contract Summaries and draft Conformity Reports on project specific basis;
  • Participate in meetings (with internal clients and with potential external clients), taking notes and preparing summaries and/or Minutes of Meeting;
  • Draft legal instruments and correspondence;
  • Perform legal research;

All upon request and under guidance.

 

SALARY:          Negotiable, with large company benefits. Please quote what salary you would be looking for when applying.
