PLATFORM PREPARATION SPECIALIST FOR OFFSHORE PLATFORM DECOMMISSIONING & REMOVAL – CONTRACT – SURREY

 

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking an Platform Preparation Specialist for Offshore Platform Decommissioning and Removal to join their office team based in Surrey on a contract basis. Contract will be ongoing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least a BSc-degree or MSc-degree (Marine, Civil or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Must have a proven experience in offshore production platform construction and maintenance activities, ideally with experience in hook down and preparation for removal and decommissioning. In depth knowledge of platform systems.
  • Experience and understanding of identifying, quantifying and scheduling platform activities related to the above.
  • Experience in construction orientated safe systems of work for performance of the work as well as platform based systems.

JOB SCOPE:

Supporting existing projects and tendering teams on decommissioning and hook down scopes of work. Contribute in developing decommissioning capabilities and competences in an expanding division of the organisation.

 

Main tasks include:

  • Assess decommissioning project scopes of work (EPRD) and develop methods for separation and deconstruction of modules and services.
  • Estimation of the work required to perform an agreed level of separation and disconnection for removal activities.
  • Produce proposals, detailed assessments and method statements
  • Review documentation related to decommissioning and hook-downs and ensure all relevant specifications, codes and standards are applied.
  • Advise on strategies for shutdown and de-energising of platform systems and deconstruction of facilities
  • Advise and assist in development of decommissioning and hook-down competences within the organisation
  • Conduct platform surveys and inspections offshore
  • Liaise with the various in house departments to enable the most efficient solution for a decommissioning (EPRD) project.

 

Duration:          Ongoing contract.

 

Rate:                Client will pay market rate. Please quote what rate you would be looking for when applying.
