Our client,a modern, high quality and hardworking professional estate agency, is seeking Lettings Negotiator to join their team at their offices in Hertfordshire.




l  Customer focused and committed to delivering excellent service.

l  Experience in rental valuations

l  Very strong planning, administrative and organisational skills.

l  Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and to work to strict guidelines.

l  Excellent communication skills including written work, presentation skills.

l  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

l  Ability to record and manage accurate information and detailed data.

l  Ability to demonstrate a commitment to equality in all areas of work with customers, members of staff.

l  IT literate in standard office applications and able to manage computerised databases.

l  Good Numeracy skills.

l  Full driving license.



l  Essential - Minimum of 2 years experience within the property industry in either the professional or student lettings market.

l  Preferable – CFP Winman proficiency.

l  Experience in dealing HMO's preferred but not essential.



Core Expectations:

l  Pushing new business generation to acquire landlords and ensuring repeat business

l  Arrange, undertake and convert viewings into offers

l  Book Valuations

l  Build & Maintain excellent relationships with Landlords

l  Register and qualify Applicants

l  Negotiate Offers

l  Exceed customer service expectations

l  Ensure that processes, systems, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.


Additional Expectations (To assist Property Manager):

l  To assist where necessary with the day to day management of a student/professional lettings portfolio made up of 48 + Houses.

l  Being pro-active in chasing arrears, defects and management issues, whilst also updating both tenants and landlords on such issues.

l  Coordinating Move Ins, Move Outs, Inspections and Inventories to be regularly completed.

l  Liaising with tenants, contractors and landlords regarding any defect issues and negotiating a quick and fair resolution to any problems for both the landlord and tenant.

l  Ensuring all legislation, including safety certificates relating to the properties are kept up to date.

l  Being pro-active and advising landlords to upgrade their properties in order to ensure they are let well and quickly.

l  Drafting and arranging the signing of tenancy and guarantor agreements.

l  Carry out referencing of tenants and guarantors.

l  Issuing notices and renewal of existing tenancies.

l  Liaising with the accounts team regarding payments, arrears and invoicing.

l  Registering deposits and handling any end of tenancy disputes between the landlord and tenant.




HOURS:            Standard full-time hours to be discussed.


SALARY:        £22,500 - £25,000
