SENIOR MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS (ROTATING EQUIPMENT) - DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT – OFFSHORE PLANT, KAZAKHSTAN
 
Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas contractor, is looking for Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineers (Rotating Equipment) to work on a long term project on an offshore plant, Kazakhstan. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical Engineering qualification diploma or above.
More than 10 years experience in Centrifugal Compressors, Gas turbines.
A thorough demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of operations & maintenance functions with gas turbines and compressors.
Experience of supervising Mechanical Engineers.
Experience of preparing quality customer reports.
Proven experience of managing projects with a strong health and safety ethic.
Visually inspects and tests equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication.
Uses facility operating procedures and equipment technical manuals to maintain and repair facility equipment and ensure equipment is operated within operating range.
Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges.
Cleaning, replacing, oiling and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required.
Works on a rotation within offshore and onshore plants.
Project and/or major program responsibilities as assigned by the Site Service Manager.
Repairs, replaces, dismantles and examines defective parts along with lubricating and cleaning parts.
Diagnoses cause of mechanical, electrical and operational malfunction or failure of equipment.
Maintains service records and provides regular customer reports.
Supervises and provides coaching and training to trainee staff.
Reads, understands and complies with all regulatory and facility safety procedures.
Work overtime, or irregular hours as needed to support reliable operation of the facility.
Maintains the cleanliness of all areas of the plant.
May be required to operate a fork lift and similar equipment.
Cooperates and participates as a team member.
 
COVERED UNITS UNDER RESPONSIBILITIES
RGI Compressors: 2 x GE Frame 5002D gas turbine compressor package. Nuovo Pignone Compressor – radial split barrel casing BCL-304, BCL-404 type. Nuovo Pignone Reciprocating Seal gas booster compressor 4HB/3 type. Flowserve Dry Gas seals.
 
Flash Gas Compressors: 3 x Siemens SGT 600, Medium duty industrial twin shaft gas turbine with DLE.
Compressor – radial split barrel casing, hydrodynamic bearings, Burgmann dry gas seals. Bentley Nevada 3500 vibration monitoring system, CCC Series5 Vanguard anti-surge protection and performance control system.
 
JOB SCOPE:
Summary
Candidate reports directly to the Site Service Manager and provides plant operations and mechanical technical support onshore and offshore including performing planned maintenance and inspection; including testing, repair, and/or replacement of components. Provide recommendations for improvement following troubleshooting, testing and inspection while operating in a safe and efficient manner within applicable regulations. Transfer knowledge and train and develop local engineers.
 
Duration:  Minimum 1 year with possible extensions up to 3-4 years.
 
Rotation: 28 days on /28 days off, 12 hour days
 
Rate:  US$500 per day worked net of any Kazakhstan tax.
 
Benefits:  Client pays mobilization/demobilization and rotational flights, insurance and medical insurance/medical evacuation, Accommodation, transport and meals.
