SITE HSE TRAINER - CONTRACT – SURREY THEN TEESSIDE
Our Client, an advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants contractor, is currently looking for a Site HSE Trainer to join the team in January 2025 based in Surrey for 2-3 months, then Teesside.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Candidates must have experience working as a Site HSE Trainer within the onshore engineering industry.

Expertise in developing and delivering HSE training programs aligned with project risk assessments (e.g., Life Saving Rules, Confined Spaces Entry, Working at Heights).

Experience in conducting training needs analysis for personnel at all levels.

Ability to train subcontractor trainers on project-specific HSE modules and verify their training materials.

Proficiency in creating and managing training schedules based on workforce and activity plans.

Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records of HSE training and assessments for audits.

Competence in auditing subcontractors’ training facilities and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.

Experience ensuring workforce competency following training completion.

Collaboration skills to provide support to the Principal Contractor HSE Site Team on training-related matters.
JOB SCOPE
The HSE Trainer shall develop and implement a training program covering aspects such as Life Saving Rules, Confined Spaces Entry, Working at Heights, Control of Work, Isolation and Immobilisation etc., in line with Project Risk assessment results.
Tasks

Implement the training needs analysis for all levels of personnel.

Train the Subcontractors trainers on the Principal Contractor’s project HSE training modules.

Develop a training schedule based on the manpower and work activity planned each month or week, as required.

Communicate the training schedule to Principal Contractor/Subcontractors in advance for each course delivered by Principal Contractor.

Maintain up-to-date record of HSE training.

Control, verify and approve the training material prepared by Subcontractors.

Audit Subcontractors to verify training facilities, effectiveness, and efficiency of training, etc.

Ensure the entire workforce is competent enough to carry out their activity after completing the training.

Maintain all the assessment records for the audit.

Provide support of Principal Contractor HSE Site Team regarding Training matters.
RATE: Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.
DURATION: Starting between January and March 2025 then ongoing.
