SITE HSE TRAINER - CONTRACT – CHESTER/NORTH WALES
Our Client, an advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants contractor, is currently looking for a Site HSE Trainer to join the team based in Chester/North Wales in January 2025.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
-
Candidates must have experience working as a Site HSE Trainer on onshore construction engineering contracts.

Expertise in implementing and supervising Project/Site HSE plans, procedures, and Life Saving Rules during operations.

Experience conducting HSE inspections, delivering inductions and training, and ensuring compliance with safety risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).

Proficiency in monitoring Permit to Work systems, equipment compliance, and hazardous materials control measures.

Ability to investigate accidents, analyse trends, and recommend corrective actions, while preparing HSE Key Performance Indicators.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with workforce, supervision, subcontractors, and key personnel on HSE and environmental aspects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that Project/Site HSE plans and procedures are properly implemented on site during operations

Report to the upper HSE referent on any HSE issues occurred on site

Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues

Conduct internal HSE inspections
-
Deliver HSE induction and training
-
Keep updated HSE procedures for the specific tasks

Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites

Ensure effective implementation of Life Saving Rules
-
Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site

Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with, and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations

Promote safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning, safety control (i.e. JSA)

Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures

Inspect subcontractors’ activities
-
Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site

Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site

Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities
-
Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures

Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials
-
Supervise Environmental aspect on site, supporting key personnel
RATE: Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.
DURATION: Starting between January and March 2025 then ongoing.
