TECHNICAL ADVISOR (STRUCTURAL / NAVAL ARCHITECT) - CONTRACT – SURREY

Our Client is seeking a Technical Advisor (Structural / Naval Architect) for an initial 6 month contract role that has an immediate start.

EXPERIENCE:

• Offshore / Hull / Naval Architect / Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience, with excellent technical and practical engineering skills and the ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and on schedule.
• Detailed knowledge of SESAM Genie is required, as well as previous experience in using Nauticus Hull.
• Knowledge of the latest revisions of DNV Rules and standards & NORSOK codes is a must.
• Previous experience of working on FPSO hulls in harsh water environments is necessary. Knowledge of undertaking stochastic fatigue analysis to DNV standards is an advantage. Recent Equinor experience would be an advantage.

JOB SCOPE:

The candidate will be responsible for performing global and partial analysis of FPSO hull structures, carrying out design of scantlings, bulkheads, living quarters and topside module support stools.

DURATION:                  6 months initially

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on minimum 3 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

RATE:                          £60.00 per hourLtd co rate

                                   If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
