TECHNICAL SAFETY ENGINEER  - CONTRACT - SURREY

 

Our Client, an offshore oil and gas contractor, is currently looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to be involved in general technical safety aspects relating to pipelines, subsea facilities and wind farms.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Capability to analyse engineering documents (e.g. Instruction to Tender, our Client & subcontractor documents).
  • Aptness to perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with pipelines, subsea facilities & wind farms.
  • A sound comprehension of compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Degree qualified in civil, structural, chemical, mechanical or naval discipline.
  • Competence/ previous experience practicing technical safety within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Verifiable knowledge of main discipline standards, codes and regulations.

 

JOB SCOPE

Mission

  • Undertake Technical Safety activities in accordance with Project/Client requirements and Company HSE Management System, within Upstream, Downstream and Subsea, from the Conceptual Design up to FEED Phase of Projects
  • Ensure the spreading and the application of the Technical Safety know how
  • Ensure Technical Safety activities execution

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyse the Tender Documents (technical and contractual) in order to verify their completeness and consistency
  • Provide technical contribution to definition of project bidding and execution strategies
  • Set up the queries to demand Client for clarifications, and take part in preparing qualifications to proposal and deviations
  • Ensure the man-hour estimate relating to the Technical Safety engineering activities
  • Support Tender and Proposal team during discipline clarification meeting with Client
  • Ensure discipline project progress, monitor and control man-hour consumption and performance indicators in accordance with technical instructions
  • Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfaces, quality checks and approval of all discipline Project documents
  • Verify that project documents are prepared, verified and approved according to our Client and Project procedures
  • Grant interface with the Client technical representative and other Project Disciplines and Teams

 

RATE:                          Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.

 

DURATION:                   Start ASAP. Ongoing contract.
