TRAINEE HSE ENGINEER – PERMANENT – SURREY

 

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is urgently seeking a Trainee HSE Engineer to work in their offices in Surrey.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will:

·         Hold a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health

·         Possess a proactive, positive and flexible attitude to working in a fast paced environment

·         Be willing to learn and develop your technical knowledge and skills

·         Be reliable and punctual and adopt a professional approach to working

·         Possess good verbal and written communication skills

·         Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Powerpoint, excel, word, etc.)

 

RESPONSIBLITES:

·     Support the QHSE Manager and HSE Manager in the performance of the QHSE Department’s management systems activities

·     Develop extensive knowledge of the Clients HSE management system and supporting processes

·     Support the HSE Team in the compilation of tender submissions

·     Review and develop company risk assessments (COSHH, fire, manual handling, etc.)

·     Support Project HSE Engineers in compiling and reviewing HSE documentation (i.e. HSE Plan, HAZID/HAZOP Reports, Audit Reports and Action Tracking Registers, etc.)

·     Attend project Risk Assessment, HAZID, ENVID and HAZOP meetings

·     Attend worksites visits onshore and offshore, when required

·     Support the preparation, execution and follow up of internal and external HSE audits

·     Support the preparation and execution of emergency response exercises, and undertake training to become an active member of the emergency response team (ERT)

·     Undertake worksite inspections (i.e. office, vessel, etc.)

·     Compile and coordinate HSE campaigns, initiatives and events

·     Attend internal and external training courses, when required

·     Undertake all other duties, which may be required of you to support the QHSE Department

 

SALARY:          Negotiable with large company benefits. Please quote the Salary you would be looking for when applying.

 

BENEFITS:      Very Close to the Station.
