 Our Client, Major Oil and Gas contractor is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Designer for their project in Netherlands.

 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

 Essential:

• Working towards first level further education/technical qualification
• At least 2 years relevant design experience
• Desire and capability to progress own professional experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Capable of managing own work and assist others

 Preferred:

• Experience in contracting environment
• Relevant site experience

 JOB SCOPE:

 Client serves the chemicals and polymers, refining and onshore oil & gas industries. Provides the full life cycle of a project from concept studies, through to design, engineering, project management, delivery of process technologies, procurement, construction and maintenance services.  As a pure project execution/EPC specialist, client can provide customers with strategic 'one-off' services or full turnkey solutions under a single project management control. It works with its customers in the development of major technological innovations, having participated in the conceptualisation and implementation of ideas, which are the foundation for world-class production facilities.  Senior CSA Designer Functional design input to small projects, or carry out design tasks as part of a large project team.

As a specialist Civil/Structural Designer independently develops high quality and efficient Civil and Structural design on a project.

 Role & Responsibilities

Carry out design activities and calculations, including the production of 2D and 3D CAD drawings, schedules, other documents, man-hour estimates for CAD work, interpreting clients’ technical specifications and other related activities to meet project requirements.

• Carry out other project related tasks as assigned by more senior Designers or Project Managers
• Develop knowledge and understanding of company legislative requirements and procedures, so that a level of general competence is achieved
• Develop own experience and skills, moving towards the capability to progress to a more senior role.
• Plan and prioritise own work so that deadlines are met
• Prepare structural steel drawings and details
• Prepare concrete layout drawings and details
• Prepare underground coordination layout
• Prepare architectural layouts, details and material list
• Perform field checks
• Perform 3D-design & drafting
• Preparation of MTO
