Our client is an established independent mechanical, electrical and public health building engineering services consultancy, delivering a professional and committed service within the public and private sector in the UK and abroad. Projects include: commercial office developments; industrial and production facilities; warehouse and distribution centres; education- schools and universities; healthcare and sheltered housing; residential and urban regeneration; retail, retail parks and shopping centres; aviation/airline – training and support facilities; hotels and conference facilities; sports and leisure centres; custodial – prisons and detention centres; telecommunications, internet and data centres.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
To be considered you will need to be technically competent at equivalent to Chartered Engineer level or above, and be highly experienced in the production of detailed mechanical design solutions for the full range of HVAC services. You will also possess strong communication skills, be experienced in undertaking project management duties on M&E Design Projects and ideally educated to at least HNC / Degree level in a relevant subject such as Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
JOB SCOPE:
The successful candidates will be required to manage / lead the mechanical building services elements of complex or highly technical projects. Working within a team you be tasked with undertaking a range of duties to include:
Management of projects to achieve client satisfaction and profitability for the business,
Identify and manage resources to achieve project requirements,
Financial management and reporting on project profitability,
Technical and quality reviews of project information,
Developing conceptual & detailed designs solutions inline with client’s brief,
Production of mechanical specifications,
Represent the business at external functions,
Assist in the preparation of fee submissions and project bids,
Conduct oneself professionally at all times and in a responsible manner,
Reviewing technical competency of mechanical work,
Design, supervision and technical reviewing of allocated projects,
Provide specialist technical advice and guidance at project and group level,
Our client is looking to employ the services of a Professional Mechanical Design Engineer who is competent in every aspect of the design process.
Contract Rate: Negotiable so please quote us what you would be looking for.
