The Access Technology Research Dept. is to conduct advanced access technologies research in various broadband access technology areas, such as xPON, xDSL, FTTx and so on. It leads industry adoption of the advanced broadband access technologies by actively participating in standards and forums, and provides guidance to product strategies. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Master's Degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Optoelectronics, Photonics, and equivalent with over 10 years experience in optical communications.
2. Extensive knowledge of such optoelectronics technologies as Burst Mode Transceivers, Planar Lightwave Circuits, Optoelectronics Integrated Circuits, Silicon Photonics Integration optoelectronics materials, MOEMS etc.
3. Profound comprehension of current optoelectronics technology and candidate future optoelectronics integration technology under researching in industry and academia.
4. Over 5 years experience in optoelectronics device design. As a technical leader or main participator, taking part in at least one large or middle scale hybrid or monolithic optoelectronics integration research project is desired.
5. Experience in funding projects about optoelectronics technology, e.g. EU FP projects, is preferred.
6. Abundant experience in simulation, IC design, fabrication processes, tests.
JOB SCOPE:
As the technical director you will provide innovative, competent future optoelectronics devices for Optical Access Network system and other optical communication systems . You will be leading the study in relevant projects, bringing extra innovation, finding and breaking through the key technologies (could be in paper or some other format, maybe needs prototype), making proposal for the future optoelectronics devices research in papers. You will be participating in technology planning activities, providing the understanding and evolution of future optoelectronics technology trends, effects on the investment of the department
Salary: £70000 to £100000
