ELECTRICAL DESIGNER - CONTRACT - SOMERSET

 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

 An exciting opportunity has become available to work with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the South West of England.  Electrical System Design, the engineering area responsible for designing the installations for all electrical and avionic equipment, including the design of equipment structural and electrical provisions, and cable assemblies and their installation.  Ideally you will have good working knowledge in the use of CAD methods and tools.  The Electrical System Design area requires staff to work in cross functional teams, alongside the designers . The work can be divided into two specialist areas

 JOB SCOPE:

 Ideally you will have good working knowledge in the following Electrical Installation Design areas  Knowledge of CATIA and VPM tools, including the use and management of 3D digital mock ups for installation design and space management  Knowledge of the design of aircraft electrical and avionic systems for rotary wing aircraft  Good working knowledge of electrical and avionic system installation design including design for minimum weight, low cost, thermal efficiency, EMC, safety, ease of production and maintenance.   Good working knowledge of the design, preparation and issue of electrical installation design drawings  Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes relevant to electrical system installations  Knowledge and understanding of airworthiness regulations relevant to electrical installation design.  Ideally a Qualification to HNC or Degree level
