The Access Technology Research Dept. is to conduct advanced access technologies research in various broadband access technology areas, such as xPON, xDSL, FTTx and so on. It leads industry adoption of the advanced broadband access technologies by actively participating in standards and forums, and provides guidance to product strategies. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Over 15 years experience in telecommunication area, and the last 5 years should be in ODN area for the solutions and engineering.
2. Profound background of budget and audit experience in ODN engineering, and to know what the key issues of ODN, such as the business mode, the marketing environments, the whole ODN product cost ratios, the issues of installation, engineering, the ODN life cycle, etc.
3. High level R&D or engineering experience in the world leading ODN manufacturing or telecommunication equipment vendors, or in the maintenance department of service provider in Europe.
4. Profound understanding to the access network of Tier1 carrier (history, current status, maintenance, problem, future trends, how to maintain, the key issues ...).
5. Profound experiences of planning, solutions and engineering, installation for FTTx deployments in European Tier 1 service providers.

JOB SCOPE:
Responsibilities
1. Providing professional consultations to the strategic technical plan and business plan for ODN product.
2. Providing professional consultations to the European law, regulations, IPR for ODN product.
3. Providing professional consultations to optical trends, new Optoelectronic technologies, new ODN device technologies, new engineering and manufacturing technologies for ODN product.
4. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting ODN requirements from the tier 1 customers and typical telecomm providers while representing solutions for pre-sale technical supporting.
5. Leading research of new ODN technologies, new trends, especial in the ODN engineering, manufacturing and installation, maintaining and fulfilment use cases.
6. Proposing ODN contributions and solutions to international organizations (FTTx Europe Council, FSAN, ITU-T…).
7. Communicating regularly with HQ to acknowledge the last specifications, R&D technologies development of ODN product, and working closely to corporate HQ f if necessary
