Our Client, is a specialist independent company that assesses the HVAC performance and significantly reduces its energy load by combining the installation of efficient air movement technology with optimised system operation. They are currently looking for an HVAC Energy Assessor for their office in East Sussex.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Essential Qualifications:
· HNC, HND or degree in Building Services or alternatively in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
· Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
· A full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
· 3 years experience of building services and/or energy management.
· BMS Controls knowledge/experience.
· Refrigeration knowledge/experience.
· Technical report writing in respect to Energy Management and/or Building Services.
Person Specification:
Must possess excellent numerical and data analytical skills and have a good attention for detail. Must be well organised, self-motivated and have the ability to manage own time and resources effectively and efficiently. Good relationship builder and possess excellent communication, presentation and written skills and an ability to converse technically and confidently at all levels. Must be task focused, results driven and have an ability to work in a pressurised environment in order to meet tight deadlines. Must have the ability to identify and develop commercial opportunities for the business.
Other requirement to the post:
Must at times be able to work in confined spaces with restricted access, e.g. in plant-rooms and air handling units. Must be prepared to qualify as a CIBSE accredited Assessor, training provided by the company.
JOB SCOPE:
To assess and report upon the energy performance of an existing large commercial buildings complex heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, providing recommendations and actions for improvement.
Main Duties:
To initiate HVAC Energy Performance Survey Reports liaising with UK blue chip customers to obtain key data from their sites and other sources. To produce high quality reports that cover issues such as performance bench-marks, the apportionment of a buildings HVAC load, maintenance regimes, control strategies, quick win and capital investment energy savings opportunities as well as an action plan to implement any recommended changes. To present observations and initiatives detailed in the HVAC Performance Survey Report to the site management team and discuss actions required in order to implement low cost/no cost and capital investment opportunities. To produce analysis reports within the Company’s Survey Template. To facilitate the sales and marketing of HVAC Energy Performance Surveys liaising with the Company’s Sales & Marketing department. To proactively develop ongoing technical skills to meet the changing needs of the Company’s Consulting Business. To provide administration assistance throughout all operations.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000, plus pension scheme, private medical insurance and car allowance
