Our Client, Major Civil/Building design and construction contractor is seeking a Project Field Engineer their project in Saudi Arabia.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
College/University Degree with substantial experience as Facility Contracts Supervisor, Senior Field Engineer/Contract Supervisor or similar, with site supervision responsibilities. Professional license preferred. Substantial supervisory experience is essential. Experience must relate to construction of major facilitate involving reinforced concrete, structural steel. Also experience with housing, heavy industrial/civil structures and ancillary buildings and water storage tanks, including knowledge of mechanical and electrical services. Site Prep and Site Development work experience is desirable. Experience in using computer tools for work is helpful. Previous overseas experience preferred. College / University Degree in Engineering
JOB SCOPE:
Monitor the workplace for unsafe situations. Maintain safety awareness with the contractors. Address contractors’ technical queries. Review technical submittals. Enforce, through Quality Assurance, the contractors’ Quality Control program. Track and verify quantities of unit price contracts. Facilitate the interfaces between contractors and government agencies and utilities. Review, for constructability, the contract design packages. Participate in bid evaluations. Conduct (3) Quality Control Audits on every contractor. Participate in weekly contractor progress meetings. Participate in Testing and Commissioning activities. Participate in Initial Acceptance proceedings. Review and check As-builts. Monitor materials testing and reports. Review O&M manuals; recommended spare parts lists. Review DCN’s/SCN’s for accuracy and completeness. Mentor employees as requested. Address issues as determined by the Manager of Construction.
